Passover the Feast of Freedom The essence
of this feast is that the unblemished lamb dies in place of the firstborn.
The lamb's blood is placed on the doorpost and the Angel of Death passed
over the house. The word passover means "to leap, jump, or skip." Because
of the innocent blood that covered the house, God passed over spared
the first born of that household. This word literally means "to skip,
leap, jump." Pesach is celebrated in the month Nisan and is called the
festival of freedom. An eight day feast. Exodus 1-14
The Passover Story The Feast
of Passover is the celebration of the deliverance of the Jewish people
from bondage in Egypt
Exodus 1:8-14 Now there arose a new
king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. And he said to his people.
"Look, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than
we; come, let us deal wisely with them, lest they multiply, and it happen,
in the event of war, that they also join our enemies and fight against
us, and so go up out of the land." Therefore they set task-masters over
them to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh
supply cities, Pithom and Raamses. But the more they afflicted them,
the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children
of Israel. So the Egyptians made the children of Israel serve with rigor.
And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage--in mortar, in brick,
and in all manner of service in which they make them serve was with
rigor
Exodus 4:28-31 So Moses told Aaron
all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which
He had commanded him. Then Moses and Aaron went and gathered together
all the elders of the children of Israel. And Aaron spoken all the words
which the Lord had spoken to Moses. Then he did the signs in the sight
of the people. So the people believed; and when they heard that the
Lord had visited the children of Israel and that He had looked on their
affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.

The Passover Night
Exodus 12: 1-3,5-8 Now the Lord spoke
to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, "This month shall be
your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to
you. "Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: 'On the tenth
day of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according
to the house of his father, a lamb for a household. "Your lamb shall
be without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take it from the
sheep or from the goats. Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth
day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of
Israel shall kill it at twilight. And they shall take some of the blood
and put it on the two door posts and on the lintel of the houses where
they eat it. "Then they shall eat the flesh on that night; roasted in
fire, with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Exodus 12:11-14 And thus you shall
eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your
staff in your hand. So you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord's Passover.
'For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike
all the first born in the land of Egypt, both man, and beast; and against
all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. Now the
blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when
I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on
you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. 'So this day shall
be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the Lord throughout
your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance

The
Messiah is the fulfillment of the Passover. He takes us out of
slavery by being the sacrifice for us. He is the real Lamb of God who
takes away the sins of the world. You need to accept Him as your Passover
Lamb. You need to apply His Blood to your life. John said of Messiah
Yeshua...
John 1:29, "Behold the Lamb of God
who takes away the Sins of the World." Messiah Yeshua, the perfect lamb,
died for the sins of the Jewish people
Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed and he
was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to
the slaughter, and as a sheep before its sharers is silent, so He opened
not His mouth

Messiah Yeshua is our Passover
I Corinthians 5:7 Clean out the old
leaven, that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened.
For Messiah Yeshua our Passover also has been sacrificed.

is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom. and
strength and honor and glory and blessing! … Blessing and honor and
glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever
